Congaree Vista Guild celebrates business anniversaries

October 31, 2023

The Vista District is celebrating several business anniversaries.

The SC State Museum is celebrating 35 years in the Vista with free admission on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Throughout the day, they will have live music, tours, a new exhibition, food trucks and even a special craft beer called “Finns Up,” designed just for the museum. For more information, visit https://scmuseum.org/events/35th-birthday-celebration.

Cline’s Salon is celebrating 28 years and hosted its customers for a special event to recognize the occasion. They offer haircuts, color, highlights and styling. Their lobby is filled with artwork from local artists in keeping with the personality of the Vista District.

A venue for rehearsal dinners, weddings, fundraisers, meetings, arts and music events, 701 Whaley is celebrating its 15th anniversary. Located in the heart of Columbia’s Olympia Mill Village, this restored 1903 building was once the community center for the mill workers of the area. It is now an event space and home to 701 Center for Contemporary Art.

The Vista Guild supports its businesses with grand openings, ribbon-cuttings and social media support. They also plan events throughout the year to draw visitors to the area and create awareness of the businesses.
