March into Your Local Library! Exciting Events Hosted by the Laurens County Public Library

As the winds of March sweep across Laurens County, the Laurens County Public Library invites residents of all ages to join in a month-long celebration of knowledge, community, and fun. The library has created an exciting lineup of events that cater to various interests and age groups, promising something for everyone.
1. A Sweet Celebration at the Laurens Library (March 4th, 4pm)
Kick off the month with a delightful celebration at the Laurens Library on March 4th at 4 pm. Children ages 6-10 are invited to join in the festivities as the library marks its 94th birthday. The event promises an afternoon filled with creativity and joy as young participants get the chance to make special party hats, engage in entertaining games, and enjoy some birthday cake.
2. Easter Crafts at the Clinton Library (March 5th, 11am)
On March 5th at 11 am, head over to the Clinton Library (107 Jacobs Highway) for an Easter-themed craft extravaganza. Craftin’ in Clinton welcomes participants aged 8 and older to create charming rabbit-eared baskets to hold Easter treats. Regardless of skill level, all are invited to join this creative gathering.
3. Financial Wisdom with Dan Wilson (March 5th, 5:30pm)
For those looking to enhance their financial literacy, the Laurens branch (1017 W. Main Street) offers a unique opportunity on March 5th at 5:30 pm. Dan Wilson of Edward Jones Investments will present a beginner’s guide to investing and finance. All ages are welcome to attend.
4. Be a Hero: Donate Blood at the Clinton Library (March 6th, All Day until 2pm)
On March 6th, the Clinton Library goes beyond books and invites community members to become heroes by donating blood. The Blood Connection’s mobile unit will be stationed in the Ace Hardware parking lot on Jacobs Highway in Clinton until 2 pm. As a token of appreciation, donors will receive a free gift card.
5. Poetry Extravaganza with Glenis Redmond (Date TBD)
Stay tuned for a special visit to the Laurens Library by the award-winning poet Glenis Redmond. This promises to be a unique and inspiring event.
