Music for Meals on March 9 benefits Lander’s Food Pantry
February 22, 2024The third Music for Meals, featuring an evening of music and “all you can eat” barbecue and oysters, on Saturday, March 9, will benefit Lander University’s Bear Necessities Food Pantry.
The event will be held from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Lander Equestrian Center, located at 221 S.C. Highway 72. Greenwood band, Bad Weather States, will provide music for the event.
Music for Meals is the primary fundraiser for the Bear Necessities Food Pantry, said Dr. Boyd Yarbrough, vice president for Student Affairs.
“Funds raised this year will go to directly support our expansion of food and services as the food insecurity needs have outpaced our donations from the Greenwood Food Bank,” he said. “This fundraiser is critical to the long-term support of Bear Necessities Food Pantry.”
Tickets are $50 for the public and are available through EventBrite. Special pricing is available for Lander faculty, staff and students. Drink tickets are $4 if purchased in advance.
