After earning a degree in Business Administration from The Citadel, Mathisen began his career in real estate. In 2004, he co-founded the successful appraisal firm, Charleston Area Appraisals, LLC. Specializing in residential properties along the South Carolina coast, Mathisen’s firm gained recognition for its focus on historic homes, multi-unit properties, waterfront estates, resort communities and rural acreage.
