20 South Battery celebrated a special house and garden tour on Monday, March 4th. The event, organized for a private group, resulted in a generous donation of $35,000 to the Preservation Society of Charleston.
Guests who attended the tour had an exclusive opportunity to explore the historic Mansion and its beautiful gardens while enjoying beverages and appetizers set up on the piazza. This unique experience offered a glimpse into the rich architectural heritage of Charleston’s Old and Historic District.

Under the dedicated stewardship of Dr. Jack L. Schaeffer, this iconic residence has become synonymous with hosting a wide array of philanthropic and cultural events. Over the years, 20 South Battery has welcomed more than 5000 guests to various gatherings supporting charitable organizations such as the Preservation Society of Charleston, Historic Charleston Foundation, Literary Society, Charleston Jewish Federation, College of Charleston, and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, among others.
