Lee Cope of Parker Law Group named to SC Biz News 2024 Power List
April 29, 2024HAMPTON, S.C.– Lee D. Cope, a partner in Parker Law Group, has been named to the SC Biz News 2024 Power List of medical malpractice attorneys. He and other honorees were profiled in a special section of SC Biz News on March 19.
Lee Cope practices statewide in a variety of areas of litigation – not just medical malpractice, but defective products, general injury, nursing home abuse and neglect, and road and traffic signal defects. He also represents special needs children who have been abused and neglected at group homes and other facilities.
He is a former member of the South Carolina Bar’s House of Delegates, and he chairs the Medical Negligence and Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect Committee of the South Carolina Association for Justice. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers several times. He has also been selected to the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation-only organization whose membership is limited to attorneys that have successfully completed a certain number of jury trials as lead counsel.
He was born in Fairfax and grew up in Hampton. After high school, he served in the South Carolina National Guard before joining the U.S. Army. He served as a military policeman in Germany and stateside. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1994 and earned his Juris Doctor from the university’s School of Law in 1997. He and his wife, Kim, have three children. He is a former Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Beaufort.
