Tempur-Pedic transforms RMHC Columbia with new mattresses
June 4, 2024Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Columbia, SC announced a significant renovation of our guest rooms, thanks to a generous donationfrom our global partner, Tempur-Pedic. On Thursday, June 6th, 2024, we will replace all
mattresses and box springs in our facility with brand-new Tempur-Pedic products, ensuring ourfamilies have the comfort and support they need during their stay.
Tempur-Pedic is donating 26 mattresses and 26 box springs, a contribution that will greatlyenhance the living conditions for the families who call our House their home away from home.This generous donation is part of Tempur-Pedic’s ongoing commitment to improving sleepquality for those in need.
“We are incredibly grateful to Tempur-Pedic for their generous donation,” said Kate ShayEnglish, Marketing and Communications Manager at RMHC Columbia, SC. “A good night’ssleep is essential for our families, many of whom are dealing with stressful situations. These newmattresses will provide comfort and support, making their stay with us a bit more restful.”
The transformation wouldn’t be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers fromseveral community partner organizations, including McDonald’s, Sam’s Club and Capital WasteServices. Volunteers will assist in removing the old mattresses, replacing them with the newones, and making up the beds, ensuring that our guest rooms are ready to welcome families.
The Mattress Day event will take place at the Ronald McDonald House, located at 2901 ColonialDrive, Columbia, SC 29203, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Media representatives are invited tojoin us for a photo opportunity and to learn more about the impact of this donation on our families.
