American Legion Post 25’s 3rd Annual Golf Tournament Hits a Hole-in-One at Lakeside Country Club
June 10, 2024American Legion Post 25 celebrated a triumphant 3rd annual golf tournament at Lakeside Country Club, drawing in an impressive number of participants and sponsors. The event, held on June 7, showcased the community’s dedication and support, ultimately raising significant funds for local charities.
The winning team of the tournament was PRTC, with Cedarwood Church taking second place, and Ace Hardware securing third. In a generous show of community spirit, all winning teams donated their prize money back to American Legion Post 25.
“This event is a testament to the generosity and camaraderie of our community,” said Post Commander Kevin Farnsworth. “We are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors, participants, and volunteers for making this tournament a success.”
The tournament, which saw participation from 25 teams, netted an impressive $14,000 after expenses, with funds directly benefiting the local community and the various charities supported by American Legion Post 25. The event was made possible by the support of 84 sponsors, whose contributions were crucial to its success.
Participants praised the tournament, expressing their enjoyment and eagerness to return next year. The enthusiasm and positive feedback have already secured the date for the 4th annual golf tournament, which will be held on June 6, 2025.
“All teams reported having a great time, and many have already committed to returning next year,” Farnsworth added. “Their continued support ensures that we can keep giving back to our community in meaningful ways.”
The annual golf tournament has become a cornerstone event for American Legion Post 25, strengthening community ties and providing essential support to local charitable initiatives.
