Laurens County Sheriff’s Office to Host Annual Fill the Cruiser School Supply Drive on Friday, July 12

July 10, 2024

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is gearing up for its annual “Fill the Cruiser” event, a school supply drive dedicated to supporting local students in need as they prepare for the upcoming school year. This year’s event will take place tomorrow, Friday, July 12th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Laurens Chick-fil-A.

The LCSO is calling on the community to donate essential school supplies, including bookbags (both clear and regular), notebooks, packs of paper, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, folders, binders, graph paper, glue, highlighters, markers, crayons, colored pencils, pens, and markers. Donations can be dropped off during the event or at the Sheriff’s Office during normal business hours until July 26th. For those who may not have time to shop for supplies, cash donations will also be accepted.

“The Fill the Cruiser event is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and ensure that every child in Laurens County has the supplies they need for a successful school year,” said Sheriff Don Reynolds. “We are grateful for the continued support and generosity of our residents.”

The collected supplies will be distributed at the Back to School Bash on July 27th at the Courthouse. This event is not just about donating supplies but making a tangible difference in the lives of local students, helping to set them up for success as they head back to school.

For more information about the event, residents can contact the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-681-4509.
