Loose Threads Quilt Guild Continues to Comfort Laurens County Community

July 24, 2024

Last week, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) received another batch of handmade quilts from the dedicated members of the Loose Threads Quilt Guild. For more than four years, the guild has been steadfast in their commitment to supporting the community, and their recent contribution of comfort quilts is truly commendable.

In 2023, the Loose Threads Quilt Guild donated 42 quilts to the Sheriff’s Office. These “comfort quilts” are distributed by deputies on calls involving children and vulnerable adults. The thoughtful contributions have undoubtedly brought comfort and solace during challenging moments for those in need.

“We are immensely grateful to the Loose Threads Quilt Guild for their continued support,” said Sheriff Don Reynolds. “These handmade quilts provide much-needed comfort to children and vulnerable adults during or after traumatic incidents. The hard work and care put into each quilt make a significant difference in our community.”

The LCSO extends its heartfelt thanks to the Loose Threads Quilt Guild for their unwavering dedication and the positive impact they have made through their generosity.
