Richland One parents, community invited to meet new principals
July 23, 2024Students at four Richland One schools will be greeted by new principals when the new school year begins August 8.
“Our new principals are excited and ready to welcome students back to school,” said Richland One Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon. “While they are new to their assigned positions for the 2024-2025 school year, they are all outstanding veteran educators. We look forward to the experience, leadership and enthusiasm that they will bring to their schools.”
Richland One parents and community members are invited to meet the new principals during events that will be held at their respective schools. The new principals and their assigned schools, along with the dates and times of the meet-and-greets, are listed below:
- Robin Hill-Davidson is the new principal at Burton-Pack Elementary School. She previously served as principal of C.C. Spaulding Elementary School in Durham, North Carolina. Her prior experience in Richland One includes serving as an assistant principal at W.A. Perry Middle School and C.A. Johnson High School.
Meet-and-Greet: Thursday, July 25 from 6-7 p.m. in the school’s media center (111 Garden Drive, Columbia, SC 29204)
- John Greene is the new principal at Forest Heights Elementary School. He previously served as an assistant principal at Bradley Elementary School. His prior experience in Richland One also includes serving as a K-3 teacher, a math and reading interventionist, and an in-school suspension supervisor.
Meet-and-Greet: Monday, July 29 from 5-6 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria/auditorium (2500 Blue Ridge Terrace, Columbia, SC 29203)
- John Allen is the new principal at A.C. Moore Elementary School, where he was an assistant principal. His prior experience in Richland One also includes serving as a kindergarten, third-grade and fifth-grade teacher.
Meet-and-Greet: Tuesday, July 30 from 6-7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium (333 Etiwan Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205)
- Jabar Hankins is the new principal at W.J. Keenan High School, where he previously served as an assistant principal. His prior experience in Richland One at the school and district levels includes serving as an instructional coach, curriculum consultant, literacy coach and English language arts teacher.
