Sunny Meadows Boutique Now Open in Laurens, Offering Stylish and Durable Kids’ Clothing
August 7, 2024A new boutique specializing in children’s clothing, shoes, and accessories has opened its doors on the Public Square in Laurens. Sunny Meadow Boutique, founded by Shannon Walker, promises to fill a significant gap in the local market for durable and stylish children’s apparel.
This past weekend, Sunny Meadow Boutique had its soft opening, coinciding with the craft beer event in downtown Laurens. The event drew many attendees into the shop, and the support was overwhelmingly positive. Shoppers were impressed with the variety and quality of the clothing available.
Shannon Walker, the owner of Sunny Meadow Boutique, has extensive experience with children’s clothing. With 11 children of her own – nine boys and two girls, ranging in age from 5 to 30 – and a growing number of grandchildren, Walker knows firsthand the importance of finding durable and stylish clothes for kids. “As a large family, it’s a challenge to find quality, durable, and stylish outfits for all of our kids, especially the boys. Nine of my eleven children are boys, and two of the three grands are boys,” Walker explained.
Sunny Meadow Boutique offers an array of premium brands that customers are excited about, including PRODOH and Wee Ones. PRODOH, primarily a boys’ line, was previously only available in Greenville. Wee Ones hair bows, known for their bright and creative color combinations, are a huge hit with girl moms. Another brand that is quickly becoming a favorite among parents is Magnetic Me. Known for its magnetic closures, Magnetic Me outfits make middle-of-the-night diaper changes much easier, eliminating the need for buttons or snaps.
Walker expressed her excitement about the boutique’s future plans, saying, “We are hoping to have Saltwater Boys, a Georgia brand, soon and some game day clothes so even the littlest in the family can join in the fun. We will also be expanding our line of baby gifts and educational and specialty toys in the coming months.”
Located at 103 West Public Square, Sunny Meadow Boutique provides a convenient shopping option for local families and aims to attract visitors from surrounding areas. The store is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
“The overwhelming support from the local community encouraged us to expand from an online platform to a physical store,” Walker said. “We decided to open a storefront because the community showed a significant demand for it.”
With its wide range of high-quality products and commitment to meeting the needs of local families, Sunny Meadow Boutique looks forward to meeting the needs of growing families in Laurens and the surrounding area.
