Annie Caggiano joins SCbio Strategic Advisory Board

Annie Caggiano, Director of Global Business Development with the South Carolina Department of Commerce, has been appointed to the SCbio Strategic Advisory Board.

Caggiano brings 20 years of economic development knowledge informed by utility, university, state and county perspectives. By collaborating with companies across diverse industries, particularly in automotive manufacturing and corporate headquarters, Caggiano played a crucial role in securing over $2.1 billion and 10,000 jobs in South Carolina.

Before joining the Global Business Development team for a second time, Caggiano served as the President of the Oconee Economic Alliance, where she directed their industrial real estate product and led their business recruitment and retention efforts. She also held the position of Director of Business Recruitment for the Upstate S.C. Alliance.

Caggiano’s previous roles have included Director of Research for Central S.C. Alliance, Senior Project Manager for Santee Cooper, Assistant Director for Richland County and Project Manager for the South Carolina Department of Commerce.
