Laurens Academy Prepares for Orientation with Over 300 Students Set to Begin the 2024-25 School Year

Laurens Academy is set to welcome new and returning families to its upcoming Orientation this Sunday, August 18th, as they prepare to kick off the 2024-25 school year. In response to the large number of participating families, the school has organized two separate orientation sessions to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for everyone.

The first orientation session will take place from 2:00-3:30 PM and is designated for families whose last names begin with the letters A through K. The second session, scheduled from 4:00-5:30 PM, is for families with last names starting with L through Z. Families with multiple last names should use the last name of the majority of children when determining their session.

The orientation will commence in the school gymnasium, where families will receive important information and updates. Afterward, attendees are encouraged to visit classrooms and enjoy a treat of ice cream before departing. To facilitate traffic flow and parking, families from the first session are asked to leave promptly by 3:30 PM, and those attending the second session should not arrive before 3:40 PM. Laurens Academy aims to begin the second session on time and minimize parking issues.

Additionally, Laurens Academy invites families to bring their Ingles Advantage Cards to Orientation. Ingles Grocery Stores supports the school through its Tools for Schools program, allowing customers to earn points for the academy with their purchases. To participate, customers must register their Ingles Advantage Card with Laurens Academy as their chosen charity each year. A registration table will be available during orientation for any assistance needed.
