Greer Relief to open new Neighborhood Impact Center with ribbon cutting

September 4, 2024

Greer Relief is set to unveil its new Neighborhood Impact Center (NIC) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 6. The event marks the opening of a new centralized hub for essential community services aimed at residents of Greenville and Spartanburg counties.

The NIC will serve as a comprehensive resource, offering a variety of services designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in the area. The center will house several key partner agencies, including SC Works, DPH WIC, It Does Take a Village, Greer Free Medical, and The Forrester Center. This collaborative setup will provide a one-stop location for a wide range of community support services.

Founded in 1936, Greer Relief is a nonprofit human service organization dedicated to supporting neighbors facing adversity. The organization focuses on providing essential services and preventive programs to combat poverty and remove barriers to success. With the support of local communities and partners like the United Way, Greer Relief continues to make a tangible impact on the lives of its neighbors.

The new center, located at 113 C Berry Ave, Greer, SC, will be a cornerstone for community assistance and solidarity. As September 6 also coincides with National Food Pantry Day, attendees are encouraged to bring donations to the ribbon-cutting event.
