Family Eye Care Temporarily Relocates in Clinton After Devastating Fire
September 8, 2024After the tragic fire that swept through several downtown Clinton businesses, Family Eye Care, one of the hardest-hit establishments, is already making strides to ensure patients continue to receive the care they need. The fire, which started in a nearby business and destroyed multiple businesses, leaving Family Eye Care with no Clinton office, but the team has quickly adapted to a temporary new location.
Family Eye Care is now operating out of a shared space at 200 Musgrove Street in Clinton. Dr. Donaldson has generously offered her office for the Family Eye Care team to use on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, ensuring that patients with pre-scheduled appointments and emergency cases will be seen without significant delays. At this time they are not able to accept new patients or walk-ins.
Dr. Tom MacMillan, head of Family Eye Care, expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community and Dr. Donaldson’s kindness. “We are deeply thankful for Dr. Donaldson allowing us to use his space during this difficult time,” said Dr. MacMillan. “Our priority is to continue providing excellent care to our patients, and we are doing everything we can to make this transition as smooth as possible.”
While the road to recovery will take time, Family Eye Care remains committed to serving the Clinton community. The team is currently exploring options for a more permanent solution but is focused on ensuring that no patient goes without care during this challenging period.
In the face of adversity, Family Eye Care has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability, a reflection of Clinton’s broader determination to rebuild and support one another in the wake of the fire.
For now, patients are encouraged to call 864-833-5555 to confirm appointments or to address any eye care emergencies. The Family Eye Care team looks forward to continuing to serve the community, even as they work toward finding a new long-term location.
