Presbyterian College will recognize and honor the brave first responders who answered the call to duty on August 27, 2024, when a devastating fire swept through downtown Clinton, impacting local businesses and the community. As a gesture of gratitude for their service, the college is offering free admission to first responders and their families for the Blue Hose football game against Gardner-Webb University on September 21, 2024. The game will take place at Bailey Memorial Stadium, with kickoff at 7 p.m.

During halftime, these courageous men and women will be publicly recognized for their efforts in protecting and serving the Clinton community. The event will serve as a heartfelt salute to those who put their lives on the line to keep others safe.

“Presbyterian College is deeply thankful for the selfless bravery demonstrated by our first responders,” said President Anita Gustafson. “Their quick and courageous actions in the face of danger helped prevent further destruction, and we are honored to recognize them during this special event. It is a small way to say thank you for all they do.”

The entire community is invited to join Presbyterian College in this celebration, standing together to express appreciation for those who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting.
