The public is invited to be a part of a significant milestone- Angels Charge Ministry’s 10th anniversary celebration with their 2nd annual Second Chance Supper. This event, scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Fretwell (101 Fretwell Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306), is a testament to a decade of serving the Upstate community. The evening will be filled with live music, a silent auction, and a delightful dinner. Tickets are $50 each and available on the Angels Charge Ministry’s website. Admission not only grants you access to this memorable event but also contributes to a cause that is making a difference in our community.
Second Chance Supper benefits Angels Charge Ministry’s mission of helping local women find a new way of life after incarceration. Spartanburg County ranks #2 in South Carolina for the number of females incarcerated, and there are very few resources available to support successful re-entry. Your support of Second Chance Supper allows Angels Charge Ministry to serve more women who desperately need our services.
Founded by Pastor Nannie Jefferies, Angels Charge Ministry believes in the potential of formerly incarcerated women to live satisfying, productive lives by restoring hope and lending help through the crucial step of transitional housing for 12-18 months. Transitional housing helps women change their life patterns, setting them up for a more successful future. Recent data indicates that of Angels Charge Ministry’s clients:
- 77% of them have children
- 58% struggle with a mental illness
- 49% struggle with an addition
- 42% are without a G.E.D.
