Pop’s BBQ Announces New Hours and Exciting Menu Updates

Located at 306 E. Carolina Avenue in Clinton, Pop’s BBQ is making some changes to enhance the dining experience for its loyal customers. Owner and chef Marcus Cheeks expressed his excitement about being back in the kitchen full-time this week, stating, “It was great being back in the kitchen full time this week, and we hope you all enjoyed your food and service.”

To improve efficiency and consistency, Pop’s BBQ will now be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Starting this week, the restaurant will resume its lunch and dinner service from Wednesday to Sunday. “We’re committed to providing our guests with the best experience possible, and these changes will help us achieve that,” Cheeks added.

The buffet offerings will be updated as well. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting at 4 PM, guests can enjoy a seafood buffet including fried and grilled shrimp, fried and baked fish, bone-in catfish, low country boil, crawfish, alongside the home-style options. Fridays and Saturdays will feature a BBQ and home-style buffet, while Sundays will present a special big feast.

Pop’s BBQ boasts an inviting dining room that reflects the charm of a classic Southern eatery. The buffet-style setup offers an abundance of choices, catering to every palate. Cheeks expressed deep gratitude to God and his parents, Stanley and Ruby Price, for their support in getting the restaurant ready. “I couldn’t have done it without them,” he said. “Dad built the buffet stations and took care of so many other details, while my in-laws, Everett and Lynn Robbins, created a décor that’s clean, simple, and light, making the restaurant inviting from the moment you walk in.”

The diverse menu features classic barbecue and country cuisine, including a full salad bar, a selection of meats, vegetables, sides, and desserts. Special menu items include bone-in fried catfish on Wednesdays and Southern breakfast food on Saturday mornings.

  • Saturday: 8 AM – 10:30 AM, 12 PM – 8 PM
