“The City of Columbia uses Uptown Gifts quite a bit on gifts for our guests that come to this community,” Mayor Rickenmann said. “This store adds and compliments our Five Points village and we are so excited for Michelle and her re-opening.”

Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann is excited for the continued growth of small, woman-owned businesses in Columbia, like Uptown Gifts.

Uptown Gifts was previously located on Main St. in the Main Street district for 16 years. The store provides a wide variety of gifts for all ages including South Carolina made food products, university and state pride items, special occasion merchandise, home décor and much more.

The City of Columbia, Five Points Association and Uptown Gifts staff help cut the ribbon for the grand re-opening.

“I am extremely excited to be a part of Five Points and the community here,” Cormier said. “Everybody has been so welcoming to us and it just feels like home.”
