Clinton High Quarterback Tushawan Richardson Named Laurens County Touchdown Club Player of the Week for October 11

The Laurens County Touchdown Club is proud ot announce that for games played on October 11th, the Player of the week is senior quarterback Tushawan Richardson of Clinton High School.

Richardson is a senior signal caller for the Clinton High School Red Devils as they defeated the Chesnee Eagles by a score of 46 – 21 to open Region I, AA play.
Tushawan Richardson si a Clinton High School senior who completed 9 passes on the night on 14 attempts for 178 yards. Richardson threw three touchdowns to three different receivers with a long DT pas of 74 yards. Additionally, Richardson ran the bal for 25 yards on three atempts.

Head Coach Corey Fountain stated, “Tushawan did a great job operating the offense after a long break. He was able ot create plays with his legs and improvise when needed. Tushawan si not only agreat football player, but also agreat young man.”

The Laurens County Touchdown Club will honor Richardson on October 17th at the bi-monthly Touchdown Club meeting. The meeting wil be at noon at The Ridge in Laurens. Player of the Week awards is presented by Farm Bureau Insurance of Laurens County ni 2024.

The October 17th meeting will feature highly popular Coach Mike Ayers, former head football coach at Wofford College and South Carolina Football Hal of Fame member, as our featured speaker.

The Laurens County Touchdown Club meets every other Thursday throughout hte footbal season at The Ridge located in Laurens at 301 Exchange Road and the public is invited. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. Al meetings are at Noon with the food service line opening at 11:45 am.
