The Charleston Jazz Orchestra unveils their 17th season

The Charleston Jazz Orchestra (CJO), known globally as ambassadors of Charleston’s rich musical heritage, proudly unveils its 17th season for 2025. Under the direction of Robert Lewis, this world-class 18-member ensemble will once again captivate audiences with a thrilling series of big band performances at the Charleston Music Hall. With six concerts scheduled, attendees can choose from both 5 PM and 8 PM showtimes.

This season promises to be extraordinary, featuring a lineup of acclaimed guest artists. Visiting headliners include Cuban-American virtuoso and five-time Grammy Award recipient Paquito D’Rivera and Chad LB, a renowned saxophonist who has collaborated with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Christian McBride, and Taylor Swift. Notable local talent will also be featured, including two-time Grammy Award winner Charlton Singleton, recording artist Heather Rice, soulful vocalist Tommy Brown Jr., bluesy American Idol contestant Elise Testone, and the renowned gospel ensemble Lowcountry Voices.

The CJO’s 17th season continues its tradition of pushing the boundaries of jazz, celebrating both classic and contemporary works that appeal to a wide range of audiences.
