Kick off the Holiday Season with the Sleigh Bell Trot and Stroll

Four-mile race and two-mile family fun walk open Holiday Lights on the River!

Experience the Magic: Join us for the Sleigh Bell Trot and Stroll! As the holiday season approaches, there’s no better way to kick off the festivities than with the Sleigh Bell Trot four-mile race on November 25 and the Sleigh Bell Stroll family fun walk on November 26 at Saluda Shoals Park. These unique nighttime events offer an exclusive preview of the Midlands’ largest drive-through light show, Holiday Lights on the River, featuring millions of dazzling lights and animated displays.

Participants will run or walk through a race route featuring millions of brilliant, colorful lights and animated displays during this festive kick-off to Holiday Lights on the River. All parking for the Stroll and Trot will be at Saluda Shoals Park’s east entrance located at 6071 St. Andrews Road. The Trot will start and finish at the east end of the Park. There will be shuttle buses to transport Stroll participants back to the parking lot at Saluda Shoals Park East. This is a rain or shine event.

Trot Early Bird by 11/10: $35 per person (register by 11/14 to guarantee t-shirt)

  • 11/15-11/24: $40 per person
  • 11/25: $45 per person (Military discounts are available).

Awards will be given to 1–3 place Sleigh Bell Trot finishers male & female, 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, 19 & under, 24 & under, 29 & under, 34 & under, 39 & under, 44 & under, 49 & under, 54 & under, 59 & under, 64 & under, 69 & under, 70 & over, 75 & over.

  • Pre-registration is required – register by 11/25/24
  • $7/person (ages three (3) to adult)
  • $2/child (ages two (2) and under)

For safety reasons, please do not bring dogs to the Sleigh Bell Trot or Stroll!

Opening to the public on Wednesday, November 27, Holiday Lights on the River, brought to you in partnership with Lexington Medical Center, will run every night through December 31st from 6:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.
