Robertson’s Ace Hardware Helps Make Christmas Brighter for Children in the Hospital
December 11, 2024Christmas became a little brighter for children at Greenville Children’s Hospital thanks to Robertson’s Ace Hardware locations in Laurens, Clinton, Woodruff, and Chesnee, which partnered with other locally owned Ace Hardware stores across the Upstate. Through bucket sales and the simple act of “rounding up” change at checkout, 100% of the donations collected went directly to support the hospital.
Last week, the Ace Hardware teams brought holiday cheer to young patients by creating an indoor Christmas tree farm. The children were able to choose their very own Christmas tree, pick out lights and decorations, and bring a little Christmas magic back to their rooms. For those unable to leave their rooms, staff and volunteers personally delivered trees to ensure no child was left out of the celebration.
The festive event also included special visits from Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Buddy the Elf, bringing smiles and joy to the children and their families during a challenging time.
“We are so thankful for the generosity of our customers and the chance to partner with other Ace stores to create something truly special for these children,” said the Robertson family. “It’s a humbling experience, and we’re honored to give back to our community in this way.”
Robertson’s Ace Hardware, along with their generous customers, continues to show how small businesses and community support can make a meaningful difference. Their efforts brought light and hope to families this holiday season, proving that a little kindness can go a long way.
Thank you to Robertson’s Ace Hardware for giving back and helping make Christmas brighter for those who need it most.
