Laurens County School District 56 to Showcase Student Talent at ArtsMix 56

Laurens County School District 56 will once again celebrate the creativity and talent of its students with ArtsMix 56, set for Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Clinton High School. The annual event highlights student achievements in music and visual arts, offering families and community members an opportunity to experience the artistic talents of students from across the district.

The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with performances taking place on the Clinton High School stage throughout the morning. Students from 4K through high school will perform vocal and instrumental selections, representing the full spectrum of arts education in Laurens 56.

The performance schedule includes:

  • 10:00 a.m. – Clinton Middle School Chorus
  • 10:30 a.m. – Elementary Music Performances
  • 11:15 a.m. – M.S. Bailey Child Development Center Music
  • 11:45 a.m. – Clinton Middle School Band and Drum Corps
  • 12:15 p.m. – Clinton High School Band, Percussion Ensemble, CHS Jazz Band, and CHS Concert Band

A highlight of the event will be a performance by the Big Red Jazz Band, which recently earned a superior rating at the Jazz Performance Assessment held at Newberry College.

In addition to the musical performances, student artwork from all district schools will be on display in the Clinton High School commons area. Three-dimensional pieces will be showcased in the library, offering visitors a chance to view sculptures and other creative works. The exhibit will also feature artwork from the district’s growing digital arts program, now in its second year at Clinton Middle School.

ArtsMix 56 is free and open to the public, and district families and community members are encouraged to attend to support the talented students of Laurens County School District 56.
