Recital to Feature Germanic Masterpieces for Cello and Piano in Clinton

Music lovers will have the opportunity to experience an evening of masterful compositions when cellist Dr. Richard Thomas and pianist Andrew Sheffield present “Germanic Gems for Cello and Piano” on Friday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Clinton. The recital is free and open to the public.

The program will feature works by Beethoven, Hindemith, and Mendelssohn, showcasing the expressive depth and technical brilliance of Germanic classical music. Audiences can expect an evening of rich melodies and intricate harmonies performed by two accomplished musicians.

Dr. Richard Thomas serves on the music faculties of Lander University and North Greenville University and is the former Chair and Professor of Music at Presbyterian College. His extensive experience in performance and education has made him a respected figure in the classical music community.

Joining him on piano is Andrew Sheffield, an esteemed accompanist and performer. Sheffield is the pianist for the Laurens County Choral and Cornerstone Baptist Church, bringing a wealth of experience in collaborative piano performance.
