Riverfront Park’s north parking lot at 4122 River Drive will close for preconstruction work

The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department will close access to the North End parking lot and Columbia Canal Headgates at Riverfront Park on Monday, March 17 through Monday, May 5 for public safety during heavy construction.

Contractors will be rebuilding a ramp on the canal headgates in preparation for the Canal Headgate Repair project and upgrades to the Crane Creek wastewater collection system. Closure will affect the access road and parking area for Riverfront North at 4122 River Drive

During this closure, guests can still access the entire levee trail via Riverfront South, 312 Laurel Street.
