Join the 2nd Saturday Service on April 12 to Beautify Downtown Clinton

April 9, 2025

Following the success of the inaugural 2ndSaturday Service workday, Main Street Clinton is calling on community members to participate in the next event on Saturday, April 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. This initiative aims to enhance the downtown area through collective volunteer efforts.

In the first event, held on March 8, volunteers straightened 14 signs and collected 25 bags of trash, significantly improving the area’s appearance. Director Jim Spry emphasized the impact of these efforts, noting that fixing crooked and fallen signs demonstrates pride in the community.

Susan Tallman, board chair for Main Street Clinton, encourages residents to join the upcoming service day, stating, “We welcome everyone to come out and take part. Working together not only makes a visible difference but also brings our community closer.”

Volunteers are invited to meet at the old train depot in downtown Clinton at 9 a.m. on April 12. All necessary materials will be provided but volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves. For more information and to stay updated on future events, visit Main Street Clinton’s website.
