Ritedose, the nation’s largest sterile CDMO specializing in Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) technology, has officially opened a new 225,000-square-foot distribution and logistics center at Performance Park in Columbia, South Carolina. Unveiled during a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, the state-of-the-art facility significantly expands the company’s capacity to handle more than 2 billion doses annually. This milestone marks a major step forward in Ritedose’s ability to deliver sterile, consistent, and safe unit-dose solutions at scale.
The new facility is part of an $81 million multiphase investment that has already created 100 new jobs and further solidifies Ritedose’s role in supporting South Carolina’s $25.7 billion life sciences sector. Future plans include an $11 million lab slated to break ground in fall 2025, which will enhance Ritedose’s ability to assist early-stage pharmaceutical companies in bringing new therapeutics to market. This expansion underscores Ritedose’s long-term commitment to innovation, workforce development, and the continued growth of the life sciences industry in the region and beyond.
