The Laurens County Disabilities and Special Needs Board (LCDSNB) is currently accepting applications for the position of Human Resource Director, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community.
Located in Laurens County, the LCDSNB provides essential services and support for individuals with disabilities and special needs. The new Human Resource Director will play a key leadership role in guiding the organization’s personnel strategies while ensuring compliance with employment regulations and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities of the Position
The Human Resource Director will oversee and manage a wide range of HR functions, including:

Recruitment and onboarding

Employee relations and performance management

Benefits administration
-
Payroll and HRIS management
-
Safety programs and compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, COBRA, and OSHA

Policy development and updates
-
Participation in audits and regulatory filings
This role requires the ability to work closely with leadership on both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations that support the mission of LCDSNB.
Candidate Qualifications
LCDSNB is seeking candidates with:

A minimum of five years of human resources experience, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, or public service setting

Knowledge of ADP or other HRIS systems

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred
