Coldwell Banker Caine celebrates grand opening of restored historic Anderson office

July 28, 2025

Coldwell Banker Caine welcomed more than 80 guests to celebrate the grand opening of its Anderson office, located in the restored 1912 U.S. Post Office at 401 N. Main Street. Attendees included real estate professionals, builders, civic leaders, business owners, and representatives from Upstate universities—all gathered to commemorate the transformation of one of the city’s most iconic historic buildings.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and lively conversation while admiring the thoughtful rehabilitation of the neoclassical structure, which recently received a 2025 South Carolina Historic Preservation Award. Coldwell Banker Caine worked in collaboration with SHLTR Architects and The Boardman Group to preserve key architectural details—from the original limestone columns and terrazzo floors to restored walk-in safes and the reinstallation of the building’s rooftop flagpole.

“This space is more than a real estate office—it’s a symbol of what’s possible when history and vision come together,” said Stephen Edgerton, President and CEO of Coldwell Banker Caine. “We’re proud to be part of downtown Anderson’s continued revitalization and look forward to serving this growing community from a place that reflects both heritage and progress.”

The Anderson office represents Coldwell Banker Caine’s continued expansion across the Upstate, reinforcing its commitment to preserving meaningful places while providing exceptional service to homebuyers, sellers, and developers alike.
