Water Treatment Operator – Class C

The City of Clinton is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of FULL-TIME WATER PLANT OPERATOR MIN. CLASS C – Under occasional supervision, operates, inspects, and maintains water filtration equipment and systems as required for the efficient and effective operation of the City’s water treatment plant. Performs related work as required. Reports to the Water Filtration Division Manager.

Requirements: Requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) Applicant must have proof of a High School Diploma or GED recognized or reciprocated by the SC Dept of Education. (2) Applicant must possess and maintain a minimum Class C (or higher) water treatment license issued by SCDHEC. (3) Must possess and maintain a valid SC Driver’s License. (4) Operates, inspects, maintains, tests and accurately records water treatment testing data. (5) Non-Exempt position. (6) Applicant must pass pre-employment physical, pre-employment drug screen, and all other applicable background checks and future SC state certification testing. (7) This is a Safety-Sensitive position and subject to the City’s random drug testing policy.
