North end of Riverfront Park to reopen August 23, 2025 following trail improvements

The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department is making progress on improvements to the concrete path along the lower trail at Riverfront Park that will enhance accessibility, safety, and the overall visitor experience.
Due to recent inclement weather, the north end of Riverfront Park (4122 River Drive) will remain closed a little longer and is now scheduled to reopen on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
During the closure, guests are encouraged to enjoy other nearby parks and trails, including the south end of Riverfront Park (312 Laurel Street), Granby Park (100 Catawba Street), and the Saluda Riverwalk (650 Candi Lane).
