Join Durant Ashmore for Revolutionary War Lecture on Colonel Thomas Brandon & the 2nd Spartan Regiment

The Laurens County Museum invites history enthusiasts to attend the next installment of its Revolutionary War Lecture Series on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Durant Ashmore will present “Colonel Thomas Brandon & the 2nd Spartan Regiment,” offering a deep dive into the fascinating history of this critical group during the American Revolution.

The lecture will take place at The Magnolia Room at the Laurens County Museum, located at 116 S Public Square, Laurens, SC. The event is open to the public, with a suggested $5 donation for non-members. Museum members can attend free of charge.

Ashmore, a well-regarded historian, will bring to life the story of Colonel Thomas Brandon, a pivotal figure in the 2nd Spartan Regiment and the local contributions during the Revolutionary War. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of the region’s involvement in the fight for independence.
