American Legion Post 25 to Host Watts Mill Community Cleanup August 30
August 16, 2025The American Legion Post 25 will lead a Watts Mill community cleanup on Saturday, August 30, in partnership with Keep Laurens County Beautiful. Volunteers are invited to gather at Eastside Baptist Church on Conway Avenue at 9:00 a.m. to begin the effort.
The three-hour event aims to bring together residents, community groups, and local leaders to help beautify the Watts Mill area and foster a sense of pride and care for the neighborhood.
“Community cleanups are about more than just picking up trash—they’re about neighbors working together to make a positive difference,” said Kevin Farnsworth, Post Commander of American Legion Post 25. “Watts Mill is an important part of our community, and we’re proud to partner with Keep Laurens County Beautiful to help it shine.”
The event is open to anyone who wants to take part, and supplies will be provided for volunteers.
