Celebrating 50 Years of Choral Harmony: The Laurens County Chorale Invites You
August 18, 2025Half a century of voices, one community in song.
The Laurens County Chorale is celebrating a milestone this year—fifty years of choral harmony in the community. Since its founding, the Chorale has brought together singers of all backgrounds to share their love of music and present uplifting performances for audiences across Laurens County. Now, as the group enters its golden anniversary season, they are inviting new and returning members to take part in this special year.
Rehearsals will begin on Monday, August 25, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Clinton, running from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The Chorale welcomes all who are interested, with no audition required to participate. While prior singing experience is helpful, the most important thing is a passion for music and a desire to join in a rich tradition of community singing. Participation requires $25 in dues per semester, helping to cover music and program costs.
This landmark season will culminate in two celebratory performances on Friday, November 21, and Sunday, November 23. These concerts promise to highlight not only the dedication of the singers but also the enduring role of the Laurens County Chorale in keeping the art of choral music alive and flourishing for half a century.
For those with questions or an interest in joining, Kipper Ackerman may be reached at [email protected]. The Chorale offers a warm and welcoming space to make music, connect with others, and be part of a legacy that has enriched Laurens County for fifty years.
