Rebuild Upstate to host annual Wake Up With Rebuild event on September 10

Rebuild Upstate, a local nonprofit dedicated to preserving safe and affordable housing for individuals and families in need, is hosting its annual breakfast, Wake Up With Rebuild, on September 10th at The Kroc Center.

Wake Up with Rebuild is a free awareness breakfast hosted annually by Rebuild Upstate, a 19-year-old nonprofit that has repaired more than 1,700 homes in Upstate, South Carolina. Guests are invited to attend to learn about the value of home preservation and hear input from a panel of local community experts, all while enjoying breakfast and fellowship.

This year’s program will honor a theme: Home Matters — no matter the condition, every home is a place of comfort, identity, and belonging to someone, and that makes it worth protecting.

The program will feature a panel of Greenville community leaders moderated by Kady Jacobs, founder and owner of Anger Management of the Upstate.

Panelists include:

Sean Dogan—Community Health Director, Bon Secours Health System & Pastor, Long Branch Baptist Church
Rusty Infinger—General Counsel, South Carolina Bar

After the program, you’ll have a clear idea of the need for home repair programs in the Upstate and how you can help. Rebuild Upstate, alongside key stakeholders, is committed to ensuring communities have the critical resources they need, like safe homes that people can afford.

“We are so excited to be bringing Wake Up With Rebuild back to Greenville after several years of being exclusively in Anderson,” said Rebuild Upstate CEO Jake Beaty. “For the first time ever, we’re hosting two Wake Up With Rebuild breakfasts, one in Greenville and one in Anderson on October 2nd. We want to spread as much awareness as possible about our mission so that we continue to serve more homeowners. We hope you’ll join us for one or the other, or both.”
