CHARLESTON, SC – Prospera Funds Inc., a newly formed asset management firm founded by veteran industry executive Michael Pierce, announces the addition of Kris Wild as Chief Investment Officer of the firm.
“Kris is the perfect fit for what we’re building here at Prospera,” said Michael Pierce, Founder and CEO of Prospera Funds. “His deep capital markets expertise, institutional mindset, and entrepreneurial drive are exactly what we need to create thoughtful, risk-aware solutions for today’s investors.”
“Volatility hasn’t gone away; it’s just being muted by the current microstructure of the market. Passive strategies and momentum will concentrate holdings, compound fragility and misprice risk,” said Wild. “We believe actively managed strategies will increasingly serve as tool for investors seeking to diversify away from the pressure points passive allocations continue to reinforce.”
Prior to Prospera, Wild held multiple C-suite roles—including President, CIO, COO, and CCO—at a start-up asset management firm, where he was responsible for the full scope of the firm’s strategic, operational, and regulatory functions.
Wild began his career at UBS Investment Bank as an Equity Sales Trader and Specialist Advisor, supporting the investment needs of clients across CHF 1 trillion in assets under management. His early exposure to global markets and institutional investors shaped his analytical edge and collaborative approach.
Before entering the financial industry, Wild served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. His military background instilled the leadership, discipline, and values that continue to define his professional ethos.
Wild holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Quantitative Finance from the University of Westminster in London.
