Lemonade & Popcorn fundraiser returns to support Mayor’s Campaign Against Breast Cancer
September 3, 2025
The fundraiser will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the City of Columbia Payment Center, 3000 Harden Street, beginning at 10 a.m. Community members can purchase pink or regular lemonade and fresh popcorn, starting at just $2, with all proceeds going directly toward the fight against breast cancer.
For more than 20 years, the Mayor’s Campaign Against Breast Cancer has played a vital role in raising awareness and providing resources for patients, survivors, and families across the Midlands. Proceeds from this year’s event will help purchase new diagnostic equipment for Prisma Health’s Richland campus, including two ultrasound units, two ultrasound exam tables, and a 3D mammography unit—tools that will expand access to early detection and life-saving care.
“The Lemonade & Popcorn Fundraiser is a simple but powerful way for neighbors to come together in support of women and families facing breast cancer,” said organizers. “Every cup and every bag of popcorn brings us one step closer to saving lives.”
The Mayor’s Campaign encourages everyone to stop by, grab a snack, and stand united in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
