Stumbo to Announce Run for Attorney General at Laurens County Museum Tuesday
September 15, 2025Eighth Circuit Solicitor David Stumbo will make a major announcement Tuesday evening, September 16, at the Laurens County Museum, where he is expected to officially declare his candidacy for Attorney General of South Carolina.
Stumbo, a lifelong Republican who has served as Solicitor since 2013, has been traveling across the state, meeting with voters, law enforcement, and conservative leaders. During his exploratory phase this summer, he raised more than $67,000 in just 24 hours—signaling early momentum for his campaign. The announcement is set for 5:00 p.m. at the Laurens County Museum. Local residents, community leaders, and media are expected to attend.
