Medically Speaking Event to Feature Local Orthopedic Surgeon

Lander University invites the Greenwood and Lander communities to attend the first of its “Medically Speaking” series for the Fall 2025 semester Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the Abney Cultural Center Auditorium.
The event, titled “Fit for Life,” will feature Dr. Michael Maughon, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon with Orthopedic Associates of the Lakelands. A light reception will follow Dr. Maughon’s presentation.
The “Medically Speaking” series is sponsored by Lander University, Self Regional Healthcare and the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce. The series fosters community dialogue on various issues in health care.
