September 16, 2025

Dorchester County Fire Rescue firefighters joined to walk the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge in their turnout gear, in commemoration of those who perished due to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The walk honors the 343 New York firefighters and nearly 3,000 victims who lost their lives at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93.

“We must never forget, and we must continue to say their names and share their stories,” said Dorchester County Fire Chief Tres Atkinson. “For those stories are how their legacy will live on.”
