Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Candy Donations for Annual Trunk-or-Treat

October 5, 2025

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for its annual Trunk-or-Treat, and the community is invited to help make the event a sweet success.

Individually wrapped candy donations are being accepted now through October 24 at the Sheriff’s Office during normal business hours. These donations help ensure that every child who attends can enjoy a safe and fun-filled evening of trick-or-treating.

Courtney Snow, Public Information Officer for the Sheriff’s Office, said community support is what makes the event possible. “Each year we are amazed by the generosity of our community. Candy donations may seem like a small thing, but they make a huge difference in making sure every child has a safe and fun Halloween experience,” Snow said.

The Trunk-or-Treat will take place at the Sheriff’s Office and is scheduled ahead of the downtown Spooktacular on the Square. Families can start their evening at the Sheriff’s Office before heading to the Square for even more Halloween fun.

Snow added that the event is more than just candy. “This tradition allows us to connect with families in a positive way. It’s about more than costumes and treats—it’s about giving parents peace of mind and kids a safe place to celebrate,” she said.
