Residents invited to engage with City Council and key department leaders and learn more about local government operations

The City of Orangeburg announced the launch of City Connect, a quarterly community chat series designed to educate residents about various aspects of city government and operations while fostering open dialogue between City Council, department leaders, and the community.

All City Connect community chats will be held at the Stevenson Auditorium, 979 Middleton Street, at 6:00 PM and will be moderated by Councilwoman Annette Dees Grevious. These sessions are open to the public and provide residents an opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and gain a better understanding of city operations.

Councilwoman Annette Dee Grevious, who spearheaded this initiative, anticipates the City Connect Community Chats will provide awareness and transparency in city government. “Many people do not understand how city government operates. These community chats are open for any and all discussion amongst residents and leaders,” said Councilwoman Grevious, District 4. “We want everyone to feel informed, involved, and empowered to participate in shaping Orangeburg’s future. We must work together to create the future we desire.”

Residents are encouraged to attend these free sessions to gain valuable knowledge about city services, ask questions, and share their ideas. Questions may be submitted until 5:00 PM on the Monday before each event. Submit questions here: https://forms.gle/ym6NBXVvZWxuTMcM8.
