Third Thursday Finale Brings 80s Fun to Downtown Clinton

October 13, 2025

The final Third Thursday of the season is coming up next week, and Main Street Clinton is closing it out with a high-energy blast from the past! On Thursday, October 16, downtown will come alive with great music, local shopping, and a throwback fashion contest you won’t want to miss.

The evening kicks off at 5:00 p.m., inviting attendees to eat, shop, and explore all that downtown Clinton has to offer. At 7:00 p.m., the stage will light up with Material Girl, a dynamic, female-fronted band known for delivering favorite hits from the 1980s and 1990s. Their mix of rock and pop classics promises plenty of sing-along moments and nostalgic fun for Gen X’ers and music lovers alike.

To amp up the retro vibe, Main Street Clinton will award a $100 gift certificate—redeemable at any downtown business—to the best 80’s outfit of the night. So dust off those leggings, shoulder pads, parachute pants, bomber jackets, skinny ties, and don’t forget the big hair and hairspray. It’s time to show off those iconic looks and make your inner 80s star shine.

“This has been a great Third Thursday season, and we wanted to end on a high note,” said Jim Spry, Main Street Clinton Director. “Material Girl brings incredible energy, and the 80s costume contest is going to be a fun way to bring the community together for one last big celebration downtown.”

The Third Thursday Concert Series is presented by Primary Sponsor: Self Regional Healthcare, whose support helps make these vibrant community events possible.

Mark your calendar, grab your friends, and get ready to shop, dance, and rock out in downtown Clinton one last time this season!
