Rebuild Upstate celebrates opening of new warehouse in Easley

October 16, 2025

Rebuild Upstate, a local home repair nonprofit, celebrated the grand opening of its new warehouse space in Easley last week.

Rebuild Upstate serves low-income homeowners by making repairs and accessibility improvements to create safe, livable housing in existing homes and neighborhoods in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee counties. Over 1,700 homes in the Upstate have been repaired since 2006.

The nonprofit purchased the warehouse in 2024, the first land and building purchase in the organization’s 19-year history. Over the summer, the team, plus dozens of volunteers, helped transform the warehouse into the space it is today, adding new office space, an additional bathroom, and much-needed storage space. The acquisition of the warehouse equips the team for growth and program expansion by allowing for materials and tool storage, staff offices, and volunteer training space.

The grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting featuring representatives from the Easley Chamber of Commerce and many of the volunteers and donors who helped make the space a reality. The entrance of the warehouse also showcases the Neighbor Wall, a permanent display featuring the names of all of the foundational donors who supported the warehouse capital campaign.

“This new, centrally-located warehouse facility unlocks endless possibilities to serve more homeowners in need,’ said Rebuild Upstate CEO, Jake Beaty. “We are so grateful to the many donors and volunteers who have supported this effort from start to finish.”

Rebuild Upstate seeks donations of standard-length treated lumber to stock the warehouse. Individuals, businesses, and churches with interest in donating materials to the warehouse are encouraged to reach out to [email protected].
