Airport coalition holds informational session for small business owners

The South Carolina Airports Coalition hosted, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, its 2025 Fly-In for Small Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Women-owned, and Veteran-owned businesses. The event took place at the Hilton Garden Inn -Airport Hotel in North Charleston.
The Fly-In provides business owners with the information needed to compete for airport contracts in various areas, including construction, airport concessions, professional service contracts, and more.
Karel Givens, CHS Small Business Coordinator and event organizer, said, “The Charleston Regional Aviation Authority is committed to building relationships within the small business community and promoting resources, such as today’s Fly-In. “There is clearly a lot of interest in opportunities to do business with Charleston International and other airports.
The South Carolina Airports Coalition was established in 2016 and comprises the four major airports in South Carolina: Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE), Charleston International Airport (CHS), Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), and Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR).
