South Carolina Gingerbread House Competition returns for third sweet season

The 3rd Annual South Carolina Gingerbread House Competition invites bakers, artists, designers, local businesses, and holiday enthusiasts of all ages to showcase their creativity in a celebration of community and craftsmanship. The event, hosted by Davis Architecture, will be held December 4-6, 2025, at AIA Columbia, located at 1530 Main Street Columbia, SC, and will benefit Home Works of America, a nonprofit dedicated to repairing homes for those in need.
Building on the success of its first two years, the competition has become a signature holiday tradition for the Midlands and beyond, drawing participants from across the state and visitors eager to see extraordinary edible art all in the spirit of community.

Judging & Awards – Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places and People’s Choice Award

Community Impact – Proceeds support Home Works of America, helping provide critical home repairs to neighbors in need.
“It has been great to see the community engagement over the last couple of years, and I’m really looking forward to what the teams will bring to the table this year,” said Cole Davis, SC Gingerbread House Competition President. “Our goal was to bring a family-oriented event to the community while also providing an opportunity for the business community to show their support through a public-facing team building exercise.”
