Music for Mission Concert to Benefit LCSO Family Assistance Program This Sunday
October 22, 2025The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is extending heartfelt thanks to First Presbyterian Church and its Fine Arts Ministry for hosting the upcoming Music for Mission concert on Sunday, October 26, at 5:00 p.m. The concert will take place at Verdins Too in Laurens and will feature performances by the Greenville Chamber Players.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the LCSO Family Assistance Program — a community-driven initiative founded by Sheriff Don Reynolds in 2020 to support individuals and families facing sudden or severe hardship.
“The Family Assistance Program was created to help those in our community during some of their most difficult times,” said Sheriff Reynolds. “It’s also a way for us to take care of our own law enforcement family when they need it most. We’re deeply grateful to those who continue to make this work possible.”
Through this program, the Sheriff’s Office has provided vital resources including emergency shelter, medications, clothing for children, and essential household items. The fund has also been used to purchase appliances for families who have lost their homes to fire and to assist deputies and staff members during medical or personal crises.
“Our goal is simple,” Reynolds added. “No one in our community — or within our law enforcement family — should have to face tough times alone.”
Community partners like First Presbyterian Church and the many donors who contribute throughout the year help sustain this meaningful program.
