Project Star to bring $10.1 million investment and 31 new jobs

Chandler Construction Services Inc., a long-standing leader in utility construction,  announced that it is expanding its operations and building onto its corporate headquarters in Greenwood  County’s Town of Ninety Six.  

The company’s $10.1 million investment will create 31 new jobs in Greenwood County. The expansion will  include the construction of a maintenance shop, renovations to the company’s existing facility, and the addition  of new administrative office space to support continued growth. Construction is expected to begin as early as  November 2025.  

Founded in 1971, Chandler Construction Services Inc. has built a reputation for delivering high-quality water and  sewer projects in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia while remaining firmly rooted in Greenwood  County. The expansion marks a new chapter in a long-term strategy for the locally based company, known as  Project Star during early planning discussions.
